Celebrities who were present at the World Cup
At the Qatar World Cup 2022, several notable celebrities and public figures attended the Opening Ceremony and first match on Sunday. Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman made a surprise appearance, narrating the opening ceremony alongside FIFA World Cup Ambassador and Qatari YouTube star Ghanim Al Muftah. South Korean pop singer Jung Kook from BTS also performed the song "The dreamers" alongside Fahad Al-Kubaisi, one of Qatar's most famous singers. Additionally, former soccer player David Beckham was a paid “ambassador” to the world cup, watching from the stands as it all unfolded.
Beyond these key figures, numerous dignitaries worldwide attended the Qatar World Cup 2022. King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia was among them. Representatives from Interpol, FIFA, UEFA, AFC, OCA and other top soccer organizations were present.
